Numerology has a great deal to do with the numeric value of the alphabet and there are many legends and theories about how this came about.

The alphabet itself was inspired by pictorial representations that recorded elaborate stories.

These full pictographs originally were abbreviated to form hieroglyphics with each symbol depicting a word.

As more time elapsed the glyphs were further reduced to represent individual sounds and then the consonants and vowels that we know today.

The modern alphabet that numerological systems are based on is derived from an earlier hieroglyphic system that is still used by Japanese and Chinese cultures. Each letter also symbolizes a number.

This has remained unchanged, even though our speech patterns have evolved to make some sounds obsolete.

Each sound is thought to also have an esoteric spiritual implication, with an essence that can be described as a number. Even more meaning is given to the very first letter of the word.

Here is a breakdown of the numerical vibrations of the letters in the alphabet according to ancient numerology systems that originated in Babylon and Egypt. In these systems, personality was analyzed by the first letter of the name.

A is the numerical equivalent of 1 and symbolizes confidence. When it’s the first vowel in a name, the person tends to be bold. On the negative side, A can be critical of efforts of others.

B is the numerical equivalent of 2 and represents our emotions. A person with a B first letter is friendly and a homebody. On the negative side, B can be self absorbed if not a bit greedy.

C is the numerical equivalent of 3 and represents energy. C people are talented and get along well with others. Negatively, C people can be ruthless and cruel.

D is the numerical equivalent of 4 and represents balance. It is very powerful and is the letter associated with business. When it is the first consonant in a name the person is very tired. On the negative side a D person can be stubborn.

E is the second vowel in the alphabet and is the numerical equivalent of 5. It is a is warm hearted, loving and compassionate. The E can be unreliable and a bit flaky.

F is the numerical equivalent of 6 and represents love. It is warm-hearted, compassionate, and easy going. When it is the first consonant in a name it carries the vibration of a nurturer. Negatively, F people can be prone to self-pity.

I is the third vowel of the alphabet and is the numerical equivalent of 9. It represents law and as a general rule is sensitive, compassionate and humane. On the negative side people with this first letter can be ill-tempered.

J is the numerical equivalent of 1 and represents our aspirations. This letter is truthful, benevolent and intelligent. When it is the first consonant in a name the bearer will possess an unyielding desire to not give up and will therefore find success – eventually. Negatively, J can be lazy and lack direction.

K is the numerical equivalent of 2 and represents a person that goes to extremes. K people are strong willed and influential. Negatively,K can be dissatisfied with life and take their discontent out on others.

L is the numerical equivalent of 3 and represents action. It is charitable and well adjusted but can be somewhat accident prone.

M is the numerical equivalent of 4 and represents spirituality. This letter has a great deal of self confidence and is therefore likely to achieve success. The drawback is that people with this letter can be workaholics.

N is the numerical equivalent of 5 and represents imagination. It is intuitive and communicative, but negatively can be predisposed to jealousy.

O is equates to the number 6. This letter represents patience, compentence and is particularly studious. The drawback of being an O is being a bit of a drama queen.

Q is the numerical equivalent of 8 and represents originality. It symbolizes genius and the unknowable. Negatively, Q can be too self absorbed.

R is the numerical equivalent of 9 and is tolerant and humane but has a tendency to become short tempered. When it is the first consonant in a name the bearer will often act as a diplomat.

S is the numerical equivalent of 1 and represents beginnings. S people are very sexy. Negatively, S can act impulsively without concern for others.

T is the numerical equivalent of 2 and represents growth. It is a restless letter which seeks answers to spiritual questions. Negatively, T is overly emotional, indecisive and is often easily influenced by the opinions of others.

U is the final true vowel in the alphabet and is the numerical equivalent of 3. The U person is very lucky in all ways. Negatively, U can be selfish, greedy and indecisive.

V is the numerical equivalent of 4 and represents construction. It is an industrious letter which is tireless and efficient. HoweverV people can also be ruthless.

W is the numerical equivalent of 5 and represents self-expression. These first letter people are artistic. Negatively, W can be greedy and take too many risks.

X is the numerical equivalent of 6 and represents sexuality. This letter is very sexy. Unfaithfulness is an unpleasant character trait as well.

Y is the penultimate letter in our alphabet and is the numerical equivalent of 7. This number loves freedom and dislikes restraint of any kind. However Y can be indecisive and lazy.

Z is the final letter in our alphabet and is the numerical equivalent of 8. It represents hope and peace. Negatively, Z first letter people often act without thinking and without regard for others.

As you can see this is quite a different way of looking at name numerology but it is also a very ancient way that is often very accurate.

Numerology is any belief in divine, mystical relationship between a number and one or more coinciding events. It is often associated with the paranormal, alongside astrology and similar divinatory arts.

There is no supporting evidence for the modern practice of numerology in modern science.

Despite the long history of numerological ideas, the word “numerology” is not recorded in English before c.1907.

The term numerologist can be used for those who place faith in numerical patterns and draw pseudo-scientific inferences from them, even if those people do not practice traditional numerology.

For example, in his 1997 book Numerology: Or What Pythagoras Wrought, mathematician Underwood Dudley uses the term to discuss practitioners of the Elliott wave principle of stock market analysis.

3 Lessons From The Huichol Tribe Of Mexico For A Longer, Happier Life

tribeBy: Kaia Roman / Source: Mind Body Green

The Huichol people of Mexico are an indigenous tribe living in the Sierra Madre Mountains in Mexico. They’re also the last North American tribe to maintain their pre-Columbian traditions.

The Huichol continue to live as their ancestors did for thousands of years, in small huts among closely-knit farming villages, relying on their natural surroundings for the majority of their needs.

To this day there are no roads that lead to the Huichol tribe, and the only way to reach them is on foot and by canoe.

American Brant Secunda was only 18-years-old when he set out on foot to discover the tribe for himself after a vivid dream. He was taken in by Don Jose Matsuwa, a highly respected shaman and the man who had appeared in his dream.

He was adopted by Matsuwa as his grandson, and spent the next 12 years completing a shamanic apprenticeship with him. Secunda is the only American (aside from his son Nico) that has been trained by the Huichol in their traditional form of shamanism.

He has dedicated his life to Huichol shamanism ever since.

Though he splits his time between the Huichol and his home in Santa Cruz, Calif., he still works to help the tribe preserve their culture, land, language and customs.

I recently met with Secunda to find out more about the Huichol and to learn about the life of a shaman.

Secunda explained that shamanism is also a way to connect with nature and all of creation, and this power can be harnessed for healing and longevity.

The word shaman comes from the Tungus tribe in Siberia and anthropologists began using the word shamanism to refer to the spiritual practices of indigenous cultures worldwide.

Shamanism may be a widely-known ancient healing tradition, but Secunda will attest that there is so much more to it than that. It is a way of life.

The Huichol are known as a nation of shamans. Much of the population practices shamanism for everyday healing and balancing of the forces of nature around them.

Their lives are deeply rooted in ceremony and tradition. The Huichol are quite physically active, living well past the age of 100. They farm, carry large loads and take long pilgrimages involving several days of mountain trekking.

So I asked Secunda, “What is their secret to longevity?”

Of all the valuable lessons Secunda learned from the Huichol, here are three that we can apply to our lives in the modern world, helping us to live longer and with greater vitality:

1. Huichol Humor: Laughter is truly the best medicine.

In Huichol culture, humor is highly encouraged. Secunda tells me that life in a Huichol village is rich with of practical jokes and full belly laughs from sunrise to sundown.

Beyond the fun and frivolity of laughter, the Huichol believe that laughter keeps the spirit healthy.

The Huichol believe that life should not be taken too seriously and if it is, then health could deteriorate. This belief is backed by science as well.

Researchers at the University of Oxford found that laugher releases feel-good endorphins and significantly increases the pain threshold. Endorphins are also known to relieve stress.

“Perhaps that’s why Huichol shamans are some of the funniest comedians I know,” Secunda said.

2. Fountain of Youth: The secret elixir is nature.

The Huichol spend the majority of their time outdoors — whether it’s farming, walking to sacred sites on pilgrimage, gathering for village ceremonies, or even cooking and eating meals.

The Huichol believe that nature not only surrounds them, but is also part of them. They spend much of their lives caring for their surroundings, both physically and spiritually.

They start each day at sunrise by giving thanks and asking Father Sky for blessings on their village. Throughout the day they practice taking in the healing energy of Mother Earth through their feet as they walk.

At sunset, they ask the Deer Spirit to bring them positive messages in the form of signs in nature.

They sing and dance for rain, pray for a bountiful harvest, and make yearly pilgrimages to powerful places in nature to give offerings and show their gratitude.

It makes sense that all of this time outdoors is good for their health. Studies have consistently shown that exposure to plants and outdoor environments raises white blood cell levels, boosts immunity, and lowers cortisol, which is related to stress.

3. Higher Consciousness: The power of sleep and dreams.

The Huichols believe that we live two lives, one in our waking state and the other in our dreaming state. Both are of great importance in their culture.

Dreams are considered to be a reflection of one’s well-being, and bad dreams are treated as an illness in the same way that headaches or stomachaches would be.

Top 10 Spiritual Truths We Weren’t Taught In School

spiritualityBy: Michelle Walling, CHLC / Source: in5d

What would our world be like today of these top 10 spiritual truths were taught in our schools, in the mainstream media, and in our history books?

How can we change the system to introduce these topics to our future generations? What will the world be like after successfully recognizing these spiritual truths?

1. We are spiritual beings on a human journey. Before we came down into this physical body, we planned out the point in time that we would begin to awaken to who and what we are.

The womb of our mother was the tunnel of forgetting, and we knew the challenge of remembering would be tough. The biggest risk we took was never remembering.

We were never disconnected from our source of light, however the connection was stretched very long and thin to reach this part of the universe in density.

Our challenge is to strengthen this connection and to grow our pillar of light in remembrance and recognition of who we truly are.

2. Our souls never die– we just change our focus. As a spark of light from Source, we are infinitely connected to the flow of experience. When it is time to disconnect the cord of life from our physical body, our spark rises up and out of the human physical body.

We take the experience of our lifetime with us, but our focus is changed to a slightly different level of vibration. We still exist as the person we were in human form as well as the many people we have been before.

Every lifetime builds experience and wisdom.

3. Everything is energy vibrating at a certain frequency. All living things on earth have consciousness, even rocks and trees. Every-thing and every-one is connected to a “tree of life” or an infinite energy source.

We can connect to the consciousness of trees and rocks and can carry on conversations with them by tuning in to their particular vibrational frequency.

Our bodies are 90% water and can be programmed and molded to a certain vibrational frequency via thoughts, sound, color, and love.

When we understand vibration, we can understand how alternative and holistic treatments can cure any disease or ailment in the body by changing the water vibration.

4. Our thoughts create our reality. All thoughts are energy which manifest into what we see as reality. Always being aware of your thoughts is one of the first steps in responsible co-creation of your reality.

It is a simple concept but takes awareness and work. If every person on earth changed their thoughts towards peace and freedom there would be no war or tyranny.

Focusing on negative thoughts will create a lower vibrational frequency and focusing on positive thoughts can raise the vibrational frequency. Our reality is a manifestation of what we create through thought patterns.

5. We are the ones we have been waiting for. There are many races and dimensions of beings on the planet at this time. Cherubim angels, Seraphim angels, Archangels, Pleiadians, Orions, Sirians, Arcturians, Anunnaki..…just to name a few.

We volunteered to be here at this time, answering the call from the consciousness of Planet Earth as she cried out for help. We came here from other galaxies, universes, and cosmoses.

Many came here each time there was a chance to achieve a “golden age” after the “fall”. Although those times were not completely successful, they were all preparation for this time.

6. Most of us incarnated here before– many times, in order to prepare for this current lifetime. There are souls who are here to be wayshowers and leaders and there are souls here who just wanted to be here to witness the raising of vibration of the human race in concert with the planet, which will affect the solar system, the universe, the cosmos, and beyond.

For those who lead by example, our schooling never stops. We had many “classes” to take in order to prepare to master ourselves in this incarnation.

The scope of the effect this event will have on all of creation is one of the biggest secrets of all. Some say that the incarnation cycle has ended and this lifetime is the opportunity to release ourselves from the wheel of karma, or the need to balance our actions.

7. We are never alone. We could not exist here without help from our spirit guides and angels, or high vibrational beings of light who made agreements with us to help steer us on the path toward the goal of ascension.

They exist in another vibrational level or dimension higher than ours- thus most of us cannot see them. They are always with us and are waiting patiently for us to ask for help, as we live on a free will planet.

They abide by laws of interference because of our free will, but if we ask with our highest and best interest they do have creative ways of manifesting what you ask for. Most guidance comes from within- through a process of telepathy where you get an idea in your head. Messages can also come from other people- those who can tap into that vibrational level in order to hear what they have to say.

8. Time is an illusion. We have a past and we have already been to the future. The majority of our energy particles (our souls) exist in a place of “no time”. Time is created in order to experience and is part of the controlled experiment. Meditation or “going within” is the key to returning to the place of “no time” where all the answers lie.

9. Ascension does not involve going anywhere. It is a state of being, a focus of awareness and consciousness into a higher vibrational frequency.

It is what we were created for- to “go forth and experience”, and return the experiences back to Source in an infinite loop of co-creation and mastery.

The main reward of incarnating in the depths of “hell” at this time is rising like the phoenix from the ashes into the bliss and light of love. This is achieved by being love itself.

10. Love is all there is. Finding and reconnecting to love again is the most important thing we can do as humans. Source is unconditional love, and we are sparks of source- which means we are also love.

Therefore we are that we seek. Loving ourselves unconditionally is the key to returning to source.

Change starts with each individual person recognizing these truths. We are not responsible for trying to convince others of our own truth, but instead all we have to do is to “be” truth and the rest will follow.

How do we do this? Be the example by speaking your truth, and watch the world change before your eyes.

By becoming responsible for ourselves, our thoughts, and our actions, we will have made one great leap toward the future of our children and the future of humanity as spiritual beings on a human journey.

We have the greatest opportunity ever in the history of the earth to be the best version of a human being we can be. It is simply up to us as to how glorious we create the future of humanity existing on the spaceship we call Earth.
